Pecan Flats Comments:
"too much stop and go"
"I like the open stuff, but not the stop-and-go, flat-track stuff"
"Too Flat." (Ed. Note - hence the name).
"BOO Camping: great!"
"Enjoyed the track. I like woods riding, but I also like wide open spaces."
"hahahahahahahahahah.....hahahahahahaha.....wait let me stop laughing! hahahahahaha....whew! Hey honey...where did I put my steel shoe? Oh yeah I forgot this is cross country! "

Rocky Ridge Comments:
"good track this year, liked the way they tried change it up track from last year."
"Excellent job.  The layout showed inventiveness and variety."
"
Great camping and great track! A+"
"ITS A REALLY GOOD TRACK I ESPECIALLY LIKED THE STEP UP DOUBLE"
"My favorite place."
"2nd best course of year."
"Darn fun course, pretty property, need to leave out cattle crossing area.  Concession was very bad, a food poisoning lawsuit waiting to happen. More than one food concessioner might be a good idea to consider."
"This is my favorite track of all time. Perfect mix of wide open riding and tight stuff. It doesn't get any better than this."
"Awesome track layout, Im glad to see them change it up. Good job guys!"
"over all good track"

Jean Comments:
"this place just sucks buddy"
"I liked it...a little too much on the stop-and-go stuff, but overall pretty good"
"Too flat."

Bridgeport Comments:
"did good here so i guess i would go back, mucho rocks don't care for that"
"Ick...the biggest piece of one-line, rocky crap I've ever seen"
"Before the new road was built the track was great.  Now it seems the track is too tight."
"would like to return if the track would change a bit it has basicly been the same every year"

Muenster Comments:
"They did a decent job of avoiding the enduro trails, but many of the ones they DID choose were beat up before practice began Saturday morning"
"Use some fresh terrain."
"this year's course was an example of why not to keep re-using a piece of property.  Until new trails are cut, this property should be voted OUT!"
"Good job on track layout. I hate the salty water though! Oh well, at least we could RACE!"
"2nd best track of the year"

Fort Hood Comments:
"one of the two best tracks this year, hated last years track"
"Excellent...terrific variety of terrain, enough of every type to please almost anyone"
"It was difficult but I really liked it, lots of technical stuff , it was fun!!! Ft. Hood is my favorite place to ride. Just don't make it too hard for us older ladies!!"
"Best course of year."
"Fantastic course, lots of fun, but for the second year in a row I didn't find the river I could jump in to cool off.  Camping is okay if you get there early enough, but if not, a problem for big rigs."
"Tough man track. Makes me feel tough every time I finish a race there."
"camping bites! track is good, too bad we wont be able to ride there anymore....."
"has to be the track of the year. very well laid out course"

Bulcher Comments:
"the worst track lay out that i have raced on, 6 porta-johns, enough said"
"If I wanted to ride enduros, I'd ride enduros"
"Need to put more thought and planning into the track, it was pretty rough for some of us ametuers! and could we maybe mow for camping!"
"Take out the mud hole after the barrels and I loved it."
"all in all a nice challenging layout, but for a club of our size, there should be at least one alternate for each of the more technical areas. Try building easier, longer cutoffs for those who don't fell comfortable with the tougher sections."
"Fantastic course, challenging and fun, but probably a little better suited to earlier in the season when it's a little cooler.  Not much to keep spectators occupied with not much of the track physically accessable.  The camping facilities were acceptable with lots of wide open ground to ease parking of large motorhomes etc. and a great fishing pond.  All in all I can't wait to go back. I wish it were open year round I really loved the track itself it's my favorite I have ever ridden!"

Pittsburg Comments:
"good track for small amount of land, nice outhouses best of the year"
"Pretty good, not the best or worst course; the Cadillacs of crappers, and SHOWERS for us poor people who don't have motor homes..."
"The rain spoilt the event."
"Loved it till it rained."
"I had the most fun race of the year at this track!  I also really appreciated the clean "facilities," showers, and general condition of the camping area."

"Didn' care much for the course, but everything else was there.  The course itself was boring. No challenge, to wide open for this early in the season. But everything else was fantastic, surpassing every other promoters efforts by far. The terrain was gorgeous, the Saturday night live band was outstanding, and the man provided outdoor showers for those of us who desparately needed them. Overall, at the year end banquet, I wish there was a category for promoter of the year, as well as track of the year. I think this promoter would win, followed not to distantly by the Waco Eagles."
"This race would have been great if not for the rain.  I really appreciate all the work that was put into making the race a good one for the TCCRA even though things didn't work out as planned."
"I WANTED TO RACE!"
"how could you not like this track? Kinda short but excellent contingency , excellent camping (even a playground for the kids!) showers, man more promoters should put money into their track instead of their flyers! Good job Tracy!"

Bonita Comments:
"fun track, right there with ft hood, works for me i voted it best track of year!"
"Along with Ft. Hood, one of the two best courses this year. Like advertised on the flyer, not one of those filled with first-gear, follow-the-leader, enduro-style crap. Lots of opportunity for passing, an actual RACE."
"Afternoon race was on a real rough course."
"Yeah lets go back next year, we need as many GOOD tracks as possible!"

Teague Comments:
"Too much tight, follow-the-leader stuff. Races held this time of year need more open areas due to the extreme heat. Deep in the woods going 1 mile per hour in 100-degree heat is not intelligent layout on the part of the promoter. Over 1000 acres and this is the best they could come up with?"
"Pitty the course was cut short"
"great land, really poor job of laying out track. the best part of the track was the added section!"
"Course would have been great if we didn't have to take 7 laps. 5 would have been alot better."
"Way too tight!! There was plenty of room out there for more fast, open straightaways. Any race in the middle of the summer needs open spaces where everyone can cool off in between the hot, breeze-less tree sections."
"Too tight for too long."
"Lousy track for this time of year - We are NOT enduro riders, anyway!!!"
"Easily the worse track that i have seen in two years. "
"The event was one lap too many -- they were smart to cut out the mudbogs -- it'd be a nice spring or fall event as long as it stays dry around there!"
"would return if track was changed"
"I would return only if I had too. Track was great for tech. woods riding , but with all that land.....comon guys ....you should have known!"

Jacksboro Comments:
"I wasn't too fond of the blind 90 degree turns."
"Heat races are always a bear, but the layout of this was good."
"too dusty and hot, not promoters fault."
"The starting area was poor-the distance to the first turn was too short and there was not enough room for the last rows. The promoters and track supervisors should be fined!"
"the track was away from the pits, I didn't get dusted but it was only a few seconds to cruise to the start line, the most popular place, there seemed to be good spectator access to most of the track, not too much dust at the start as to cause the women & children to not wanna watch, track was a good mix of not too bogging down tight & not too strung out straights I liked the whole thing...not counting the dust, but that can't be helped."
"Great race even with the heat"
"I would like the track to be more challenging, have a longer/better start and more camping area.. I do think they did a good job considering the heat."
"kewl !!"
"lets change the track a little"

Bryson Comments:
"I know we all don't have good, rich, soil to build a perfect track from, ...but you gotta be kiddin'.
"Our association should buy a water truck or come up with some way to water AT LEAST the start! If they are going to accept tracks in this sort of condition to race on then they should be prepared to make the track SAFE. Going WFO on a straight when you cant see isnt racing , its crazy! Its obvoius that some promoters need money!"
"If you gotta make money (promoters) do it another way...pleeeeeease!"
"enough said!"  (Ed. note - rating 1/1/1)
"Very rough! It would have been much better as a fresh track rather than following the deep ruts from a prior mud race."
"I thought the layout was good. The loose sand made for hard riding but there were also lots of deep ruts which looked like they could only have been made when it was really wet, which seems it must have been some time ago. These could have been eliminated with some light dozer work."
"same ol thing"
"I don't see the point in stating a race where no one can see anything!!!! Unsafe for riders and spectators.. Come on guys... was this really necessary??????"
"Great layout, well marked but Mother-nature was uncooperative. Deep ruts created on Saturday, but Friday was outstanding fun!"
"can I put a 0 for the outhouse comment? Obviously the promoter forgot that we raced on this same exact track, when it was muddy, two years ago. Where my 4-wheel drive truck got stuck up to the axles! Another obvious point is that the majority of the track was laid out by Will Stidd in '96. I wonder if he got a cut of the cash flow the promoter took in this weekend. Probably should have since he put all the effort into laying out the track. As far as the last comment about the ruts being burned in on Saturday, I wonder if that was the promoter putting his two cents in as I don't think he expended that much effort on the actual track! It wasn't even marked well. Another thing, maybe he should learn to use a bulldozer before renting one next time... Maybe he should have thought out the track/camping area as well as he thought out the poster and event shirts (which he sold to bring in more cash...) Needless to say, my family didn't enjoy this race too much and I feel like promoters that put out this amount of non-effort are actually insulting the club as a whole even if they are good riders. You would think since they are members they would try to benefit the club somewhat instead of just themselves."  (ed. note- WOW!  These are Hot Sports Opinions!)
"Terrible. Nobody should promote a race to make money.  This is what happens when somebody does. More time was spent deciding what the event t-shirts should look like than working on the track. If different trails were run the track would not have been nearly as bad."
